The Joyful Journey with My Alfa Romeo 156

The Log of maintenance, modification and ownership

Replacing the fog light bulb

Told by a friend that the left fog light was gone.  With the experience of replacing the dip light bulb,  I thought it should be a piece of cake to replace it.  It costed me USD 2 to get a new bulb. Not bad for an Alfa 156, at least it a popular type of bulbs.

Upgrading the head unit

The previous owner has replaced the factory-fitted Alfa 156 head unit with an after-market one, it sounds fine and functions well.  Anyway, I have it replaced recently for only 2 reasons:

  1. Its panel colour and silver appearance don’t blend in well with the amber backlit instruments
  2. I always fancy to have an old Nakamichi unit because of all the hypes of the vintage Nakamichi🙄. I know Macintosh is even better but…..you know

Fixing a deformed wheel

A few weeks ago, the mechanic who changed the tyres for me found a wheel’s round shape had deformed a bit.
