Fixing a deformed wheel

A few weeks ago, the mechanic who changed the tyres for me found a wheel’s round shape had deformed a bit.

Don’t think bare eyes can find the fault. Albeit, it is a good sign, isn’t it? Eventually have it fixed. Can I feel the difference? Be frank, no. Great.

Fixing the front suspension squeak

The squeak from the front suspension came back, the mechanic and I suspected that the anti-roll bar bush was the cause. We replaced the bush but no luck. Finally a new upper control arm did the job.

What puzzling me and the mechanic is that the replaced arm has just been fitted 16 months ago; why did it fail so quickly? We can only guess that it was caused by the failed front damper that pushed excessive pressure to the arm’s ball joint.

Fixing the windscreen crack

During a morning drive gathering, there was a big “bang” from the windscreen. It was so loud that I thought it needed to be replaced. The windscreen specialist told me that my case was really marginal and no guarantee of success. To me, nothing to lose and he did it.

Not perfect but good enough for the time being.
