The Joyful Journey with My Alfa Romeo 156

The Log of maintenance, modification and ownership

The most impactful repair – air intake hose

I have long been irritated by the weak torque of my Alfa 156 TS. That’s why I was so persistent to upgrading the final gear to the facelift version. The upgrade improves the low rpm performance, albeit it is still not quite right until I found the root cause eventually, I reckon. The broken air intake hose.

Alfa156 upper control arms replacement

After almost 8 years service time, the front upper control arms eventually squeaked again. I’m more than happy to have them replaced provided that I had replaced 3 pairs of them in the first 4 years of ownership. With the trick my mechanic used, 8 years is a way longer than what I expected

Renew ignition components

My mechanic suggested to me that it was time to replace the spark plug on my Alfa 156. Following his suggestion, I decided to examine all ignition components. As a result, the findings are quite alarming.
