Replace Alfa156 front shock lower bushes

My mechanic asked me if I want to replace some front shock lower bushes. The targeted benefit is to further improve the up-and-down response of the front wheels. I said why not as the front lower suspension arm has been in services for a few years, the bushes likely have worn out. And they are about to.

After almost 8 years service time, the front upper control arms eventually squeaked again. I’m more than happy to have them replaced provided that I had replaced 3 pairs of them in the first 4 years of ownership. With the trick my mechanic used, 8 years is a way longer than what I expected

Fixing Alfa156 rear suspension noise

There was a moment, I could hear some “knocking” rear suspension noise when I was driving on uneven surfaces. Regarding the road condition in Hong Kong, that means the noise was constant. A few causes can make this sort of noise. With the car lifted up, the broken bushing of the rear trailing arms is the cause.
